Ingredients

12 servings
Maida (all-purpose flour, plain flour)4 cups
Instant dry yeast2 tsp
Milk200 ml dough, 100 ml filling
Sugar60 g dough, 100 g filling
Egg yolk3
Butter80 g dough, 20 g filling
Salta pinch
Walnuts3½ cups, ground
Honey4 tbsp
Cinnamon powder1 tsp
Vanilla essence (vanilla flavouring, imitation vanilla extract)1 tsp
Egg white2, whisked

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Make a rich yeast dough and let it rise.
  2. 2Pour hot milk over walnuts, add butter, honey, sugar, cinnamon and vanilla. Cool, fold in whites.
  3. 3Roll the dough very thin, spread filling, roll tightly and coil into a buttered ring tin.
  4. 4Rise, then bake at 180 C for 1 hour.
Serve it like this
