Ingredients

Ground ogbono½ cup ground
Beef500 g, cubed
Dried salted fish1 dried fish, soaked and flaked
Ground dried crayfish (ground dried shrimp)2 tbsp
Red palm oil¼ cup
Spinachugu or spinach, chopped
Okra (lady's finger)optional, chopped
Scotch bonnet chilli (habanero or scotch bonnet pepper, habanero chilli)1, chopped
Onion1, chopped
Stock cube (bouillon cube)2 cubes
Water5 cups
Saltto taste

Method

5 steps
  1. 1Boil beef with onion, stock cubes and salt until tender; keep stock.
  2. 2Melt palm oil, stir in ogbono until dissolved.
  3. 3Add stock gradually, stirring, then beef, fish, crayfish and pepper.
  4. 4Simmer 10 minutes, stirring.
  5. 5Add greens and okra; cook 3 minutes.
Serve it like this

Serve in a bowl beside pounded yam, eba or fufu, eaten by hand.
