Ingredients

Natto1 pack
Cooked rice1 heaped cup, hot
Soy sauce1 tsp, or the natto sauce
Prepared mustard½ tsp, karashi
Spring onion (green onion, scallion)1, sliced
Nori sheetsa few strips

Method

3 steps
  1. 1Stir the natto vigorously with chopsticks 30 to 50 times.
  2. 2Mix in soy sauce and mustard, then stir again.
  3. 3Pour over hot rice and top with spring onion and nori.
Serve it like this

Serve in a rice bowl with miso soup and pickles. Use chopsticks to wind the strings.
