Ingredients

4 servings
Prawns (shrimp)500 g, peeled and deveined
Honey3 tbsp
Soy sauce2 tbsp
Garlic5 cloves, minced
Ginger1 tsp, grated
Lemon juice2 tsp
Cornflour (cornstarch)1 tsp
Cooking oil (vegetable oil)1 tbsp
Spring onion (green onion, scallion)2, sliced
Sesame seeds1 tsp

Method

5 steps
  1. 1Whisk honey, soy, garlic, ginger, lemon juice and cornflour in a bowl.
  2. 2Pat the prawns dry. Heat oil in a wide pan on high and lay them in a single layer.
  3. 3Flip the prawns and cook until just curled into a C.
  4. 4Pour in the sauce and toss until it bubbles and coats.
  5. 5Scatter spring onion and sesame and serve at once.
Serve it like this

Pile over steamed rice in a shallow bowl, spoon the sauce on top and finish with spring onion and sesame. Serve hot.
