Ingredients

4 servings
Carrot3 large, cubed
Green peas1⅓ cups
Cooking oil (vegetable oil)1½ tbsp
Cumin seeds1 tsp
Ginger1.5 cm, grated
Green chilli1, chopped
Turmeric (ground turmeric)¼ tsp
Coriander powder (ground coriander)1 tsp
Red chilli powder (indian red chili powder)½ tsp
Garam masala¼ tsp
Salt1 tsp
Coriander leaves (cilantro)1 tbsp, chopped

Method

3 steps
  1. 1Heat oil, add cumin, ginger and chilli.
  2. 2Add carrot, peas, turmeric and salt with 2 tbsp water. Cover and cook on low 10 to 12 minutes.
  3. 3Uncover, add coriander powder, chilli and garam masala and cook 2 minutes. Finish with coriander.
Serve it like this

Serve hot on a plate, with a few fresh coriander leaves on top.
