Filter coffee powder40 g green coffee beans, roasted and ground
Water2½ cups
Sugarto taste

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Wash the green beans and roast them in a pan over medium heat, shaking, until dark and shiny.
  2. 2Grind the beans in a mortar or grinder.
  3. 3Boil the water in a jebena or small pot, add the coffee, boil, then rest off the heat to settle.
  4. 4Pour in a thin stream from a height into small cups and sweeten. Top up and brew twice more.
Serve it like this

Pour into small handleless cups on a tray, with popcorn or dabo kolo on the side and incense burning.
