Ingredients

10 servings
Maida (all-purpose flour, plain flour)3¼ cups
Milk½ cup, warm
Egg yolk4 yolks
Egg1
Sugar80 g dough, 30 g topping
Butter100 g dough, 50 g topping
Instant dry yeast2 tsp
Salt¾ tsp
Processed cheese (american cheese)grated, for topping

Method

5 steps
  1. 1Knead flour, milk, yolks, egg, sugar, yeast and salt; add butter bit by bit until silky.
  2. 2Rise 1 1/2 hours.
  3. 3Divide into 10, roll into ropes, brush with butter and coil into spirals.
  4. 4Rise 45 minutes and bake at 180 C for 15 to 18 minutes.
  5. 5Spread with butter, sprinkle sugar and grated cheese.
Serve it like this
