Ingredients

4 servings
Maida (all-purpose flour, plain flour)1¼ cups
Whole wheat flour (wholemeal atta flour, chapati flour)⅓ cup
Cooking oil (vegetable oil)2 tbsp, divided
Salt1 tsp
Potato4, boiled and mashed
Onion2, half chopped, half sliced
Ginger garlic paste2 tsp
Green chilli2, chopped
Turmeric (ground turmeric)¼ tsp
Red chilli powder (indian red chili powder)1 tsp
Garam masala1 tsp
Dry mango powder½ tsp
Chaat masala1 tsp, frankie masala
Vinegar1 tbsp, with chopped chilli
Coriander leaves (cilantro)for chutney and garnish

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Knead maida, atta, a spoon of oil and salt with water into a soft dough. Rest 15 minutes.
  2. 2Cook chopped onion, ginger garlic and chilli in oil, add spices and mashed potato. Shape into 4 logs.
  3. 3Roll thin rotis and cook on a tawa with a little oil until spotted and soft.
  4. 4Place a log on a roti, sprinkle frankie masala, chilli vinegar, sliced onion and coriander. Roll tightly in paper.
Serve it like this

Wrap half in paper and serve with ketchup or green chutney. Warm.
