Ingredients

12 servings
Flax seeds (linseed)⅔ cup
Roasted chana dal (roasted split chickpeas)3 tbsp
Dried red chilli6 to 8, byadgi
Garlic5 cloves
Tamarinda small piece
Curry leaves1 sprig
Jaggery1 tsp
Cumin seeds½ tsp
Salt1 tsp

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Dry roast the flax seeds on low heat until they pop and smell nutty.
  2. 2Roast the red chillies, curry leaves and cumin until crisp.
  3. 3Cool, then pulse everything with garlic, roasted chana, tamarind, jaggery and salt to a coarse powder.
  4. 4Store airtight for up to a month.
Serve it like this
