Ingredients

6 servings
Tea leaves (black tea leaves)6 tea bags or 2 tbsp leaves
Water1½ litres (500 ml boiling, rest cold)
Sugar¾ cup
Baking soda (bicarb soda, bicarbonate of soda)a tiny pinch
Lemon1 lemon, sliced
Ice cubesplenty

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Pour 500 ml boiling water over the tea and the pinch of baking soda and steep 5 minutes.
  2. 2Remove the tea and stir in the sugar while hot.
  3. 3Add the cold water and chill.
  4. 4Serve over lots of ice with lemon.
Serve it like this

Serve in tall glasses or mason jars over ice with a lemon wedge. Keep the jug in the fridge.
