Ingredients

6 servings
Beef500 g, minced
Onion1, chopped
Ginger garlic paste1 tbsp
Green chilli2
Garam masala1 tsp
Black pepper½ tsp
Turmeric (ground turmeric)¼ tsp
Vinegar1 tbsp
Saltto taste
Water½ cup
White bread2 slices, soaked and squeezed
Egg2, divided
Coriander leaves (cilantro)2 tbsp
Breadcrumbs¾ cup
Cooking oil (vegetable oil)for frying, about 5 tbsp absorbed

Method

5 steps
  1. 1Pressure cook mince with onion, ginger garlic, chilli, spices, vinegar, salt and water for 3 whistles; let pressure release naturally.
  2. 2Cook off any liquid until completely dry, then grind coarsely.
  3. 3Mix in squeezed bread, 1 egg and coriander; shape into short logs.
  4. 4Roll in beaten egg, then breadcrumbs. Chill 20 minutes.
  5. 5Fry at 170 C until deep brown.
Serve it like this

Serve on a platter with mustard or chilli sauce and lime wedges. Hot.
