Ingredients

6 servings
Mutton (goat meat)500 g boneless, small pieces
Ghee3 tbsp
Onion2 medium, sliced
Ginger garlic paste2 tbsp
Green chilli3, ground
Black pepper1 tsp, crushed
Whole spicescinnamon, cloves, cardamom
Garam masala¾ tsp
Macaroni1 cup, boiled
Milk1 cup
Fresh cream (thickened cream, heavy cream)½ cup
Cashews2 tbsp, ground to paste
Egg4
Coriander leaves (cilantro)a handful
Saltto taste
Water1¼ cups

Method

5 steps
  1. 1Heat ghee, fry whole spices and onions until golden, then add ginger garlic paste and green chilli and cook until the raw smell goes.
  2. 2Add mutton, salt, pepper and water. Pressure cook 5 to 6 whistles and let pressure release naturally.
  3. 3Reduce any liquid, then stir in milk, cashew paste, cream and garam masala. Simmer 5 minutes and fold in the macaroni.
  4. 4Spread in a greased baking dish. Beat the eggs with a pinch of salt and pepper and pour over the top.
  5. 5Bake at 180 C for 20 to 25 minutes until set and golden, or cook covered on a tawa over low heat. Rest 10 minutes and serve with coriander.
Serve it like this

Serve hot on a plate, with a few fresh coriander leaves on top.
