Classic atta pinni.

Ingredients

12 servings
Whole wheat flour (wholemeal atta flour, chapati flour)2 cups
Ghee¾ cup
Sugar¾ cup, powdered
Almonds¼ cup, chopped
Raisins1 tbsp
Dry ginger powder (ground ginger)½ tsp
Cardamom½ tsp

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Fry the almonds in a spoon of ghee until golden. Remove.
  2. 2Roast the atta in the remaining ghee on low heat, stirring constantly, for about 20 minutes.
  3. 3Turn off the heat and let it cool until just warm. Add sugar, almonds, raisins, dry ginger and cardamom.
  4. 4Press into tight, round pinnis with your palms.
Serve it like this

Serve in small bowls, warm or chilled as it likes best, with a few chopped nuts on top.
